Grach, I bought it a month or so ago, and I'm still trying to learn to hover properly and I've yet to employ a weapon to successfully hit anything other than terra firma. A couple tips:
1. Map the collective to your throttle. IMHO any other dial, slider etc will be too sensitive because of the smaller range of movement..
2. The throttle is not used like a conventional airplane; it's basically either going 100% with some form of autolimiter or it's in an emergency/shutdown mode.
3. Think very carefully about mapping your jobstick buttons, particularly for weapons use. I find it almost impossbile to take my hands off the cyclic (joystick) to do anything, so enabling the right joystick buttons for ease of use of the Sqval targeting system is vital. Likewise the Abris gps/moving map.
This is without a doubt the most challenging sim of any kind I"ve ever gotten. It's like trying to play Falcon 4 while riding a unicycle, and I doubt I'll have it mastered in a year. The Russian pilots that fly this thing in real life must be supermen.
